AOL Customers
- Please note that AOL's allocation of IP addresses to its customers can cause some difficulties with our online shop. All customers with an AOL email address (e.g. johnmettrick@aol.com) can telephone their order to 01457 852239 and give their credit card details securely over the phone.
Selecting Products
- Select from our product categories (e.g. High Peak Lamb, Seasonal Products) by selecting from the drop down list from the top menu Shop button or from the text link at the bottom of the Homepage
- A list of products for that category with a thumbnail image will be displayed. Click thumbnail images to display larger images, more information and add to basket facility.
- Some products have options such as weight. Please check the selection before adding to the shopping basket.
- You can click the
 button next to the product description to add the product to your shopping basket.
Reviewing your order
- You can review the contents of your shopping basket by clicking
 in the top menu bar. Here you can remove an item, change the quantity or empty your basket. To carry on shopping click the  button.
Basket & Checkout
- To delete a product already added to the basket on the View Basket page, click the
 button.
- To change the quantity on the View Basket page, enter a new figure in the Quantity box and then click the
 button. The new value will then be recalculated and displayed.
- To continue shopping from the Shopping Basket Review page, click the button, which will take you back to the last product page you were in.
- To place your order click on the PURCHASE FOR £xx.xx button. You will be asked to enter your personal details to enable us to ship the goods and effect payment.
- The next screen is to allow you to enter your billing and shipping address. If paying by cheque the shipping address is displayed.
- Telephone and E-mail details are essential as should there be any queries or problems with your order we would need to be able to contact you. If you enter your e-mail address a copy of your order will automatically be sent to you and any future correspondence.
When you have entered your details you can move on to the final stage by clicking the Click here to proceed button, or you can go back to reviewing your order. You will then be taken to either the secure screen for online credit card payment or a receipt page for you to print and send with your cheque or credit/debit card details.
Your orders are sent to us via a Secure Page and transferred to us using PGP encryption. This means that others cannot retrieve your credit card details or obtain any other personal information from our order form. Our 'Secure Server' uses a SSL Certificate to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. You can check the SSL certificates validity when you are on the secure page. Click on the certificate logo and a pop up window will display all the certificate details.
Paying by Debit or Credit Card
- If paying by credit or debit card the secure server screen will be displayed as the last checkout screen . This screen has a locked padlock shown at the bottom of the screen to show it is a secure page. It displays with the total amount of the order. You will need to enter your card details here.
- Your card details will be processed by J.W. Mettrick & Son Ltd.
Payment by Cheque or Fax/Post Credit/Debit Card
- If you have selected to pay by cheque or fax/post your credit/debit card details in the shopping basket screen, you will then be directed to a page to fill in your delivery details. Next a receipt page will display, which you can print off for your records, or to send in with the payment. You will also receive a confirmation email of your order.
- Your confirmation email will have a Cart Id reference - this is your unique order reference and must be quoted when sending your payment or making any queries.
- Please make cheques payable to J.W. Mettrick & Son Ltd.
Order Reference
- Each time you order you will be allocated a Customer / Shopper ID. This is displayed on your Order email confirmation. Use this for any queries relating to your order.
