Sausage & pie making for National Butchers Week 2014

Monday, March 31st, 2014

Last week we celebrated National Butchers Week by welcoming pupils from both Gorse Hall & St Charles Primary school to visit our Stalybridge & Glossop shop.

We find that inviting pupils from local schools is a fantastic way to endorse National Butchers Week. We take pride in the fact that all the pork we use is free and range and locally sourced (and so it should be). It’s a great opportunity to educate the next generation of local shoppers on animals, supply chain & the manufacturing process of some of their favourite things to eat (good old bangers and mash of course).

With bags full of homemade sausages and pies we had a great couple of days, by the smiles on their faces I think they did too.
