John and Steven Mettrick are passionate about there product, and the way it gets from the farm to you.
In order to ensure that they have full control of the supply chain, and to ensure that animal welfare is top of the agenda at every stage of the process, Mettricks run their own abattoir in Glossop. All the meat sold in there shops and on-line is processed through this facility. Because there processes demonstrate best practice, the facility was recently chosen to feature in the BBC series Kill It, Cook It, Eat It. The Abattoir, which is run by John's brother Steven adheres strictly to industry best practices, and has quality & animal welfare at the heart of its processes.
