I truly adore the quality and service at Mettrick's and everyone who has tasted it has raved about it. The quality of all of your products is unsurpassed plus you represent true value for money. You can taste the difference between your meats and those from supermarkets. Your much improved website (and the staff that fill the orders) brings all of the attention of a small town premium butcher shop to my doorstep. This kind of service is not easy to find (and certainly not at this price).
Having bought supermarket meat all my life, it is great to taste "real" meat. Its also great to buy it from somewhere like Mettricks who have a passion for their product.
It is the first time that i had been to mettricks butchers and I heard that it was award winning quality meat. the bacon and sausage sandwhiches are the best or bacon and egg mayo mmmmmmmmm yes I would definatly go there again my tea that night was to die for lamb chops.
Ilove J.W.Mettricks they do such orignal and different food from other local butchers. I have been buying meet from John and Adam for over 50 years and I am still very satisfied with their quality and standard of meat. No wonder they have won so many awards!!! I have to praise John and his father and other family members for putting such effect into their fabulous butcher shop.
What a fantastic Butcher Mettricks is. Apart from the fact that you'll not find better meat for miles, the staff are so passionate about their job and so very knowledgeable.
Since I moved to Glossop two years ago I feel healthier than ever from eating Mettricks meat. Good meat like this has got to us all some good, I'm convinced!
I have been using Mettricks for approximately 15 years. I think I am very lucky to have such a fine butcher so near. More importantly, the meat is reared locally and I know it is raised and slaughtered by people who care about animal welfare.
The meat is also very reasonably priced and tastes delicious. No wonder there is a queue down the street every high-day and holiday.

Just a comment to say me and my family use your butchers every week and love all you sell especially pinwheels, definatly a family fave.

Steak and Kidney pies were absolutely fantastic, Full of chunky meat and a bargain at £1. Well done, I will be back.
Purchased meat products on-line 4 or 5 times now and I will keep on coming back.Excellent quality and well packaged.Nice to taste beef that has been properly hung.
