The classic Roast Beef of England - so called because legend claims it was knighted Sir Loin by an English king. Cooking and serving: Roasting - pre heat oven, moderately hot oven 375ºF/190ºC/Gas Mark 5. Cooking times -Rare : 20 minutes per lb (450g) plus 15 mins, Medium Rare : 25 minutes per lb (450g) plus 20 minutes and Well Done : 30 minutes per lb (450g) plus 30 minutes. Joints start at 1kg up tp 8kg.
